It’s summer in Paris, and that means it’s time once again for the Paris Plages!

Every year the city of Paris turns a portion of the road alongside the Seine River into a beach and pedestrian-only boardwalk so that people who can’t get out of the city during the hottest summer months can still experience a little bit of a beach-y getaway. But how do they actually do it? This fun video shows the beach being “built” and then enjoyed by Parisians young and old.
